Purpose of the the Product Mix Database
The process of entering and managing data using the Excel’s shared workbook functionality is causing problems. There is a lack of control over user behaviour with the workbook such as inappropriately saving the workbook there are also issues relating to the management of the amount and potential amount of data held in the workbook.
Professional Development have considered, but have decided against, enhancing the Excel based workbook management and data capture process by building into the workbook improved functionality by using the inherent functionality of Excel and VBA.
Professional Development has decided that only a database solution will suit their needs.
